🚨Weekend Arrests Following Chinatown Robbery🚨

Over the weekend, two individuals were arrested in connection with a robbery that took place late at night in Chinatown.

The following morning, City Centre C Relief Neighbourhood officers were carrying out their daily patrols in the Piccadilly Gardens area when they stop-searched two males under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act. During the search, one male was found in possession of three bank cards not belonging to him.

Following initial enquiries with the Neighbourhood Crime Team (NCT), it was confirmed that these bank cards belonged to the victim of the robbery the night before. As a result, the individual was arrested for theft by finding. He has since been charged and bailed, with conditions not to enter the Piccadilly Gardens, marking a positive outcome in the ongoing investigation.
